Con motivo del estreno de ‘Bullet Train’ (David Leitch, 2022) el próximo 5 de agosto, FOTOGRAMAS organiza un torneo para elegir la mejor película de la carrera de Brad Pitt. Una competición que se extenderá hasta el próximo lunes 11 de julio, cuando proclamaremos al film ganador, y en la que seréis vosotros, nuestros lectores, los que decidiréis con vuestros votos qué largometrajes irán avanzando hasta llegar a la gran final. Para ello, hemos seleccionado 32 películas de la filmografía de Brad Pitt que se enfrentarán en una serie de duelos/cruces repartidos en 5 eliminatorias. Tendréis 24 horas para votar en nuestra web, desde las 19:00 de cada uno de los siguientes días.

• Primera ronda (32 candidatas): miércoles 6 de julio.
• Octavos de final (16 candidatas): jueves 7 de julio.
• Cuartos de final (8 candidatas): viernes 8 de julio.
• Semifinal (4 candidatas): sábado 9 de julio.
• Final (2 candidatas): domingo 10 de julio.

Y si esta preselección de 32 títulos (realizada como se puede comprobar más adelante desde una perspectiva editorial) ha resultado ardua y compleja, el reto de decantarse por una sola película de la inabarcable filmografía de Brad Pitt se antoja una labor quimérica. Nominado en cuatro ocasiones a los premios Oscar y vencedor de una de estas estatuillas en 2020 por su papel en ‘Érase una vez en… Hollywood’ (Quentin Tarantino, 2019), la carrera cinematográfica de Brad Pitt presume de algunos de los personajes más icónicos e inolvidables de las últimas décadas. Desde taquillazos que le convirtieron en cazador de nazis, ladrón de casinos, vampiro y Aquiles, pasando por actuaciones memorables de la mano de directores de la talla de David Fincher, Terrence Malick, Alejandro González Iñárritu o los hermanos Coen, hasta mitos eróticos que forraron carpetas de instituto en historias románticas como ‘Leyendas de pasión’ (Edward Zwick, 1994) y ‘¿Conoces a Joe Black?’ (Martin Brest, 1998). Una carrera fulgurante al alcance de muy pocos intérpretes a lo largo de la historia del cine.
